1) Vehicle Storage

Most Vehicle Storage is outside in a gravel parking lot, surrounded by chain link fencing. This also applies to Trailer Storage, RV Storage and Boat Storage. Parking in these fenced lots tends to the most inexpensive storage option for the amount of space used.
Expensive or Classic Car Storage should be done in a Climate Controlled Storage Facility.

 

2) Outdoor Self Storage

This includes drive up storage lockers that are typically made in 5′ increments (ex. 5’x10′, 10’x10′, 10’x15′ and 10’x20′)

 

3) Indoor Self Storage

These aren’t always Climate Controlled so always double check if your contents are temperature sensitive. Smaller than 5’x10′ lockers can be available, otherwise the regular sizes are the same as outdoor self storage. There are a few locations that offer larger than 10’x20′ indoor storage but they tend to be taken by commercial clients.

 

4) Portable Storage

Portable Storage includes Storage Pods, Storage or Shipping Containers (aka sea cans). The most common container size is 8’x8’x20′, however, small options do exist. A typical 3+ bedroom home will require more than 1x 20′ container.

Portable Storage Containers are ideal for those that have a gap of weeks to months between their housing possession dates because items are handled twice (once into the container and once out of the container) instead of four times when off site storage is used (into moving truck, out of moving truck into storage facility locker, back into moving truck from storage locker and out of the moving truck at your new destination).

 

5) Warehousing

Typically used for more commercial purposes, warehousing is usually bet for bulk materials. There are several large 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) companies in London that can help businesses manage everything from file storage through retail / drop-shipping solutions.

 

6) Moving Company Storage
